CJ LHC gives more than sixteen million to High Court Bar

Lahore:Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial has provided One crore, Sixty six lacs rupees to bar associations of the Province. This step has been necessitated on the persistent demands made by the bar Associations . The Lahore High Court bar Association , the premier bar of the country, has been provided six lakhs rupees to meet its financial issues while other bars have been kept on a par and have been given equal amount for the purchase of books.

A Cheque of total amount of Rs one crore, sixty lac will be handed over to Vice Chairman, Punjab Bar Council with direction to deposit it in the official account of Punjab Bar Council.

The Vice Chairman, Punjab Bar Council or any other authorized person will distribute the allocated amount for each District &Tehsil Bar through their President or General Secretary as per rules.

All the Bar Associations will be bound down that the amount shall be utilized for the purchase of law books only. After expenditure, intimation with support of vouchers of purchase of books shall be sent to Lahore High Court.

An amount of Rs one lac and seventy five thousand will be provided to each District Bar Association of the Province which are 36 in numbers.

An amount of Rs one lac, twenty thousand will be provided to each Tehsil Bar Association which are 81 in number.
