Special teams takes action against sheesha cafes

Lahore :City District Government environment department and special teams of DCO while taking action against 35 sheesha cafes has recovered 200 sheesha “Huqas” including alcohol and huge quantity of various drugs used in sheesha “huqas”. During the action special teams sealed 12 sheesha cafes and lodged FIR’s against 2 sheesha cafes. This was disclosed by DCO Lahore Noor-ul-Amin Mengal at Town Hall here today while presenting the recovered items from sheesha cafes before the media. The DCO told that a full fledge public awareness campaign has been launched against the sheesha cafes. He said that action against the sheesha cafes will remain continue until unless this menace could be wiped out. He informed that action against the sheesha cafes has been launched after receiving numbers of complaints from parents and others segments of the society. He said that sheesha cafes are the main cause of spreading out un-healthy and negative activities among youth. He said that the CDGL will take to task such people with an iron hand who are involved in such social evil and promoting negative activities among youth. DCO Lahore said that all the segments of the society will have to play their active role with the CDGL to get rid of this menace from society. He further said that sheesha cafes are not only cause of polluting the environment but it also damaging the new generation. He also informed that a large number of parents have appreciated the CDGL action against the sheesha cafes. He said that action against sheesha cafes will remain continue without any pressure. On the occasion, MPA Kh. Imran Nazir told that during the action not only alcohol but beer and “charas water” has also been recovered which had been also used in sheesha “Huqas”. He said that CDGL saved the youth by launching action against sheesha cafes and reiterated that the action will be taken against this menace in the other cities after cleansing the Lahore. Besides MPA Mehar Ishtiaq, officers of environment and other departments were also present on the occasion.
