PML-N Lahore to protest against loadshedding

Pakistan Muslim League-N will stage a protest demonstration against loadshedding, price-hike and unemployment on June 14 at Neela Gumbad.

It was decided in a meeting of City Presidents, General Secretaries as well as Coordinators of PML-N presided over by senior leader of PML-N Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA. President PML-N Lahore Malik Pervaiz, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Syed Tauseef Shah and MNAs and MPAs were also present. The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the protest demonstration on June 14. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that an injustice is being committed against Punjab through artificial loadshedding due to which industrial sector has been destroyed and provincial economy has suffered a setback of 400 billion rupees. He said that Punjab has the highest share of 70 percent in the payment of electricity dues but still people are being denied 700 megawatts electricity. Hamza Shahbaz further said that loadshedding is affecting every sector. He said that provinces are not being given the power of generating energy. He said that shortage of energy is a national issue due to which lakhs of industrial units have closed. He said that earlier labourers were protesting but now mill owners have also come to the streets.

He said that PML-N cannot leave the people alone and will share their sufferings. He said that the President and Prime Minister have made an increase of eight crore rupees in their kitchen budget. He said that poor people are being deprived of their hard earned money and a new corruption scandal of the rulers is coming to the fore almost daily. He said that thieves and dacoits are sitting in the cabinet who have no fear of judiciary, masses or even Allah.

Hamza Shahbaz further said that it is time for practical steps as Pakistan is facing serious challenges.
