Japan lauds PAF role in rescuing stranded Japanes

His Excellency, Mr Hiroshi Oe, Ambassador of Japan, awarded commendation certificates to the PAF personnel

Islamabad:His Excellency, Mr Hiroshi Oe, Ambassador of Japan, awarded commendation certificates to the PAF personnel who were involved in the rescue operation conducted on 08 April, 2012 to rescue 77 stranded Japanese from various parts of Northern Area of Pakistan, in a ceremony held at PAF Base Chaklala.
The Ambassador, on behalf of the Government and people of Japan, highly appreciated the successful rescue operation conducted by PAF and praised the professionalism of the Aircrew and other Support Staff who made it possible.
In the end of the ceremony, Air Commodore Muhammad Iqbal, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) presented PAF Crest to the Ambassador. Large number of dignitaries from Japanese Embassy and senior officers of PAF attended the ceremony.
