Lahore:Several hundreds policemen were deployed for security as Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif left for his tent office at Minar-e-Pakistan by public transport from Model Town Bus Stop at 7:00 on Sunday morning. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, elected representatives and the staff of the Chief Minister accompanied him. The Chief Minister paid for the tickets and also talked to the other passengers who were surprised to see him among them as there was no example in Pakistan political history.
People including a student and government servant wished all the rulers start travelling in public transport so they could get better facilities of public transport.
When the Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting to review the measures for the supply of drinking water to the people during loadshedding, there was a power outage due to which the fans at his tent office stopped and the Chief Minister, elected representatives and officers used hand fans in the extreme heat and suffocation.
