Ongoing projects should be completed speedily :CM Punjab

Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that ongoing projects should be speedily completed for the beautification of Murree and provision of facilities to the tourists. He constituted a committee headed by MNA Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to evolve recommendations regarding compensation of the looses of shopkeepers and property owners of Jhika Gali affectees and said that solid measures will be taken for the provision of job opportunities to the people of the area.
He was addressing a review meeting regarding ongoing development projects in Murree, today. Advisor to Chief Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Member National Assembly Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Commissioner Rawalpindi Imdad Ullah Bosal, DCO Saqib Zafar, Assistant Commissioner Murree and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister directed the committee to evolve its recommendations as soon as possible for checking future constructions on Murree Express Way. He stressed upon the members of the committee to hold meeting with Jhika Gali affectees and finalize the suggestions and recommendations for compensation of their losses. He said that flowers and decorative plants should be planted for increasing natural beauty of this important tourists spot and all facilities be provided to the tourists at tourist places and picnic points of Murree including Bagh-e-Shaheedan and PIA Park. The committee preparing recommendations regarding compensation to the losses of Jhika Galli affectees and future constructions, will comprise Member National Assembly Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Advisor to Chief Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Commissioner Rawalpindi Imdad Ullah Bosal, DCO Saqib Zafar and AC Murree Tariq Manzoor Chandio and meet local traders, social personalities and people to evolve recommendations in the light of their proposals. Advisor to Chief Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Member National Assembly Shahid Khaqan Abbasi gave different suggestions regarding beautification of Mall Road, provision of best facilities to the tourists, traffic management, cleanliness, solid waste management and other development projects. Commissioner Rawalpindi Imdad Ullah Bosal and DCO Saqib Zafar apprised the meeting of progress regarding ongoing development schemes in Murree.
