Lahore:A resident of village Harzanipur, Kasur, Abdul Jabbar and his wife Zahida Perveen met Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today and informed him that he is very poor and supports his family as a daily wager. He said that he got his 13 years old daughter Khalida Perveen employed as a housemaid at the house of Maha Begum in Barkat Market Garden Town Lahore about two months ago but she is neither being paid nor being allowed to meet her parents. The mother of the child informed that she is hepatitis patient and cannot visit Lahore against and again, therefore, her daughter should be recovered. The Chief Minister ordered the police officer who was present on the occasion to recover and restore the girl to her parents within 24 hours.
He said that protection of life and property of the people is the responsibility of the government and it should check operation and help the aggrieved. He said the police officer should pay full attention to the people’s complaints. He also ordered free treatment of Zahida Perveen. Later, Rubina Bibi of Khudian Khas Kasur met the Chief Minister along with her brother and daughter and complained that she is extremely poor and lived in a rented house. She said that the daughter and son-in-law of the landlord also live in the same house who have subjected her daughter to torture and also threatened her, she demanded justice. The Chief Minister assured that the demand of the justice will be fulfilled. The Chief Minister directed SSP Investigatin Abdul Razaaq to personally investigate the matter and submit him a report by Tuesday. Capital City Police Officer SSP Investigation, District Coordination Kasur and District Police Officer were also present on the occasion.
