Lahore:In order to making the sale and purchase of land in cooperative housing societies transparent and saving the people from fraud, a pilot project of biometric system is being launched for the first three months and the record of cooperative housing societies will be computerized within next six months all over the province.
This was stated by Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Senator Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa while presiding over a meeting at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, today. Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to Chief Minister Raja Ishfaq Sarwar, Secretary Cooperative, Secretary Housing, Addl. Secretary Local Government, Member Board of Revenue, Commissioner Lahore, DCO Lahore and DG LDA were also present on this occasion.
The meeting was told that the pilot project is being launched for the first three months for saving the people through biometric system from fraud in cooperative housing societies. The meeting was told that the biometric system will be computerized within next six months throughout the province. The meeting was further told that besides photographs of purchaser and seller, the thumb impressions will also be placed on the registered deeds of cooperative housing societies.
