Over 6000 Appeared In Written Test for recruitment in Rescue 1122

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) conducted written test of over 6000 applicants to recruit Emergency staff for 605 posts of Lahore, Attock, Jehlum, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Chakwal, Mandi Bahudin, Murree, Ahmad Pur East, Chichawatni, Gujar Khan, Jaranwala, Kabeerwala, Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Kharian, Mian Channu, Mureed Kay, Pattoki and Sadiqabad.

The written test and psychological assessment (Personality & Aptitude) were conducted at Emergency Services Academy, Ferozepur Road, Lahore.

The posts advertised mainly included Emergency Officers, Rescue Safety Officers, Control Room Incharge, Shift Incharge, Computer Telephone wireless Operator, Emergency Medical Technicians and  Dert Rescuer. In order to facilitate local residents, special arrangements were made for collection of application forms at district level.

After scrutiny the applications of candidates fulfilling the criteria were accepted at the District level. Subsequently, the candidates shall undergo physical fitness and skill tests. The list of candidates passing written test shall be displayed at the end of May, 2012 at Emergency Services Academy and in their respective divisions where forms were submitted by the applicants.

Interviews of the short listed candidates shall be conducted by the Recruitment Board, comprising of members from five different government departments in order to ensure selection of right staff on merit. Even after selection the candidates are kept under observation during training at Emergency Service Academy and final selection is subject to successful completion of this training. The document verification shall also be completed before completion of the training and appropriate legal action shall be taken against candidates with bogus documents.

The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122)  Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that main reason for the success of the Service is Its  transparent recruitment system which ensures the final selection of the best possible emergency staff which can make difference between life and death through efficient and professional management of emergencies.

The exemplary performance of the Service, speaks itself about the transparent recruitment, training and monitoring process followed by the Service, he further added.
